END OF SCHOOL YEAR WRAP UP Graduations & Special Events

Dear East Harlem Tutorial Program & Scholars Academies Families,

The last two months of the school year are always the most exciting. From award ceremonies honoring hardworking scholars to graduations where we get to see students who have been with EHTP since kindergarten now getting ready for college, it's a time of celebration and achievement.

EHTP and East Harlem Scholars Academies are grateful to all the families, teachers, and volunteers who have made this school year a success.

We encourage every family to follow the summer reading assignments and to spend lots of time together. To our teachers, we wish you a well-deserved restful summer break.

Over the summer, EHTP will be open for summer programming, and we will be busy getting our new high school building located at 2017 1st Avenue ready for the 2024-2025 school year.

Congratulations to all our graduating classes, especially to the 2024 East Harlem Scholars Academy High School Class.

Congratulations  to  East Harlem Scholars Academy High School Class of 2024

The second graduating class of East Harlem Scholars Academy High School celebrated their graduation with families and school faculty on June 26th, 2024.

This year's graduation ceremony was attended by EHTP board member Kenny Robison, who presided over the event, making the graduation official by leading the turning of the tassels. Our commencement speaker was NAACP Award winner and Artistic Director of the Classical Theatre of Harlem, Ty Jones.

East Harlem Scholars Academies wish our graduates much success and remind them that EHTP will always be their home.

OST College Scholars Senior Send Off Ceremony

Last week we welcomed our college-bound OST Seniors, their families, and their college mentors. Keeping with tradition, all the graduating seniors who were part of our program received hoodies from the schools they will attending. Encouraging them to Begin With the End in Mind!

EHTP’s College Scholars program, launched in 2012, provides students the support and resources to successfully navigate the complexities of higher education, stay on track to graduate, and prepare for careers.

Check out EHTP on Pix 11

Last week, EHTP CEO Marina Cofield and Goldman Sachs CFO Denis Coleman joined Pix 11's Monica Morales on her TV show to discuss EHTP's mission work and how Denis' connections to our organization when he was just a teenager have led him to continue to be involved in a professional capacity as CFO of a major bank. Denis' generosity has been instrumental to EHTP's success.

He has consistently supported the organization not just with his time and expertise, but also through significant financial contributions. His commitment to EHTP is evident in his active participation in various initiatives, including serving as chair of EHTP's Annual Fundraising event, Build Love. His leadership and philanthropy have made a lasting impact on EHTP, helping to further its mission and expand its reach to more students and communities in need.

Take a few minutes to watch the interview and learn about our new high school building and Denis' commitment to our organization.

EHTP and East Harlem Scholars Academies hope you have a great summer, we are excited to welcome you back in August!
