East Harlem Tutorial Program offers a variety of volunteer opportunities through our public charter schools, after-school, and summer programs. The programs range from subject-matter tutoring, providing students with homework help, mentoring, and preparing high school students for college success. Volunteers support our scholars, prepare them for academic success, encourage their social enrichment, and help them gain the confidence they will need to succeed in college and in life. With the help and support of our community of over 350 volunteers, EHTP is able to reach more scholars in East Harlem. Volunteer with EHTP and make a lasting impact on our scholars!

When I see students begin to grasp concepts they were previously struggling with, I realize the impact that patience and encouragement can have on a student who is willing to learn and improve”
