EHTP's Diana Sierra Nominated for Emerging Leaders Award
East Harlem Tutorial Program is proud to announce that Diana Sierra, our Deputy Director of Social Services & Family Engagement, has been nominated for the Annual Emerging & Exemplary Social Work Leaders Award, which recognizes early and mid-career social workers who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, expertise and dedication to the improvement of social and human conditions in the New York City area. Diana was one of just two individuals nominated by the Dean of Hunter’s Silberman School of Social Work for this citywide award.
Since 2010, Diana has been supporting the social, emotional and psychological development of EHTP's scholars and families, ultimately helping them become integral members of both their community and greater society. She has been an invaluable representative of EHTP's work, and proudly embodies our core values.
The Emerging Leaders Award is given by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), and seeks to cultivate new leaders and support mid-career trendsetters in the social work profession. Winners will be selected at an awards dinner on December 5, 2013.We wish Diana the best of luck and thank her again for the invaluable work she has done for social work and family engagement at EHTP!
